Shell Show
Photographs taken at our recent Shell Show can now be viewed on our website: http://members.tripod.com/~nz_seashells/SS2004.htm

Next Meeting: Tuesday December 14th, 7:30pm
This meeting, our AGM and Christmas Social, will be held in the Ranfurly Room at the Epsom Community Centre, corner of Gillies Ave. and Kimberly Rd. Epsom.
Please bring along a plate with something nice for our Christmas supper and one shell in festive wrapping for our Christmas gift box so we will all have a surprise shell to take home. Could members wrapping a NZ shell mark it with a large N and those with an overseas shell please mark with an O.

Special Business
Our Annual General Meeting is the time to make appointments for the coming year and therefore a full attendance of members will be valued to ensure that a quorum is reached in order to allow the election of officers to take place. In accordance with the Section's rules, the current President stands down at this meeting. Doug is optimistic that there are enough willing members available to fill all positions on the new committee.
This meeting will also appoint a small sub commitee to arrange a programme for our 75th Jubilee around October 2005.

Important Topic for Discussion
A motion was tabled at the last committee meeting for discussion at the AGM asking that the Section donate $1500 to the Auckland Museum Institutes project for the purchase of a set of three "high tech" lecture seats for the Auckland Museum's new lecture theatre. If the meeting votes to support this project our donation will be recognised by the placement of a naming plaque on the set of seats.

Speaker
Doug Snook will show an assortment of his coloured slides which he hopes we will find so riviting that nobody will nod off.

Shells for the Night
This night is SHOW TIME so please bring along a display of your most showy shells from any family.
