The Auckland Shell Club was formed in 1931 as a Section of the Auckland Museum.
Our interests are in all things molluscan - shell collecting (recent and fossil), conchology and malacology (study of shells and shellfish), as well as molluscan ecology and conservation.

We invite like-minded people to join our Facebook Group for interactive discussions. Here you can share shell related information or ask questions.

• Annual Shell Auction - Albany Hall, Saturday 25/October/2025 (Labour Weekend)

  Sellers please email your lot lists and photos to aucklandshellclub@gmail.com before the end of July.
  Lot lists can also be posted to: Peter Poortman, 26 Pendlebury Street, Green Bay, Auckland 0604.
  Shared cloud storage such as Google Drive is a good way to transfer photos if they are too big for email.

  Lot numbers are limited to 30 per person, but please indicate if you would like to enter more.
  Note that we charge a flat fee of $1 per lot.
