The Committee sends salutations to all members. The February meeting was well attended, considering the frightful weather. Two shell collections of particular interest on display were Patricia Langford's Arctic specimens and an eclectic display of W/W shells by visiting British shell collector, Alistair Moncur. Patricia also gave a short account of her recent trip to Russia.
Heather Smith exhibited examples of her superb art work and Doug Snook gave a full account of the 4th National Shell Show held in Wellington in January. View the list of prize-winners.
Margaret Morley gave a slide presentation of previous visits to Great Barrier Island.

The Committee Meeting on Sun. Feb. 17th, held at the home of Doug and Judith Snook home at Takanini was well attended and very productive. Thanks to Judith for the refreshments.
