After much prompting and encouragement from overseas collectors I have befriended over the years, I've decided to follow my dream and start a small home business as a NZ Shell Dealer.

In order to get started, I need to build up an initial stock of NZ shells covering as wide a range of species as possible, and to establish sources for on-going supply.
The only way I can do this is with help from my fellow collectors here in N.Z. So, if you can help in any way, I would be extremely grateful.

I have a lot to learn, but I am keen and there are many incredibly knowledgeable people in the club, who I hope will not mind sharing their 'pearls' of wisdom.
I will be at the Shell Show in Wellington in January (I will be having a stall to raise some start-up funds) so I would love to have a chat if you are there (and if you have shells to offer, bring them along!) Otherwise, please feel free to ring or email me. Anyone living in or around Wellington - I'm happy to call in while I'm down there. I don't get there often, so I need to make the most of the opportunity.

I am very excited about doing this, while at the same time fully aware that I am 'clueless' about some aspects. What I do have is a genuine passion for shells, a desire to learn as much as I can, and an aspiration to share our unique N.Z. shells with other collectors around the world.
